Master's Day: Guru Purnima 2026 – Significance, History and Celebrations

Guru Purnima is a special day dedicated to teachers, mentors, and spiritual guides. It reminds us to appreciate the people who help us learn, grow, and become better human beings. In 2026, people across India and many parts of the world will celebrate this meaningful festival with respect and gratitude.

Throughout history, many inspiring stories have shown the importance of honoring a teacher. One such story tells of a generous merchant whose devotion to wisdom became an example for future generations.

A Merchant Known for Kindness

Many centuries ago, a wealthy merchant named Anathapindika lived in the city of Shravasti. Although he possessed great wealth, he was best known for helping those in need. He regularly supported poor families, travelers, and people without resources.

His generous nature earned him the love and respect of the community. Yet despite his success, he continued searching for deeper meaning and inner peace.

A Life-Changing Meeting

During a visit to another town, the merchant learned about a respected spiritual teacher whose wisdom was attracting many followers. Curious to learn more, he decided to meet the teacher.

The conversation left a powerful impression on him. He realized that true happiness comes not only from material success but also from wisdom, compassion, and service to others.

The teacher explained that wealth itself is not harmful. What matters is how it is earned and how it is used. Honest work, generosity, and kindness can transform wealth into a force for good.

An Extraordinary Act of Devotion

Inspired by these teachings, the merchant wanted to create a peaceful place where people could gather, learn, and practice spiritual values.

He discovered a beautiful garden owned by a prince. When he asked to purchase the land, the prince jokingly replied that he would sell it only if the entire ground could be covered with gold coins.

Instead of giving up, the merchant accepted the challenge. He arranged for cartloads of gold coins to be brought to the garden and began covering the land.

The shining coins amazed everyone who witnessed the scene. What seemed impossible was becoming reality through determination and devotion.

A Prince's Change of Heart

The prince was deeply moved by the merchant's sincerity. He realized that the project was not driven by pride or personal gain but by a genuine desire to benefit others.

Touched by this commitment, the prince decided to contribute as well. He offered the trees and remaining parts of the garden as his own gift.

Together, they transformed the land into a place of learning, reflection, and peace.

A Legacy That Endured

The new center became a gathering place for teachings, discussions, and spiritual growth. People from different backgrounds visited to seek guidance and improve their lives.

The merchant's generosity created benefits that extended far beyond his own lifetime. His actions demonstrated how wealth can be used to support education, wisdom, and community welfare.

Today, his story continues to inspire people around the world.

Unveiling the Mystery of Universe Creation

The universe creation is a complex process, understanding universe creation requires a deep study, exploring the universe creation reveals its beauty, and appreciating universe creation inspires awe.

How universe created the most frequently asked questions about the universe creation, galaxies in universe, birth of solar system & religious beliefs

The Universe Creation Among the ancient philosopher of India the most pre-eminent was Kapila.

The Great philosopher Kapila denied the theory that there was a being who created the universe.

That then is the source of the empirical universe?

The empirical universe creation consists of things evolved (Vyakta) and things that are not evolved  (Avyakta).

Individual things(Vyakta Vastu )can not be the source of unevolved things(Avyakta Vastu ).

World Creation Philosophy

An effect must differ from its cause, though it must consist of the cause
.

Things that have evolved have a cause and the things that have not evolved have also a cause,

  • just as other things of whole existence there is no doubt,
  • cannot be perceived;
  • or because of their too great a distance
  • or proximity;
  • or though the intervention of a third object,
  • or though admixture with a semi lar matter;
  • or though the presence of some more powerful sensation
  • or the blindness
  • or other defect of the senses
  • or the mind of the observer.

Outer World Character Creation

The process of development of the unevolved is though the activities of three constituents of which it is made up,
  1. Sattva
  2. Rajas
  3. Tama's is called three Gunas.

The three constituents act essentially in close relation, they overpower and support one another and intermingle with one another.

They are like the constituents of a lamp, the flame, the oil and wick.

When the three Gun as are in perfect balance, none overpowering the other, the universe appears static(Achetan ) and creases to evolve, when the three Gun as are not in balance, one overpowers the other the universe become dynamic (Sachetan ) and evolution begins.

The disturbance in the balance of the three Gunas was due to the presence of Dukha(suffering ).

History Of Universe
On the off chance that we break down the foundations for the arrangement and structure of a universe, utilizing the Buddhist introduction of causality, at that point the source space molecule of a universe is the acquiring cause of the universe.

A getting cause is that from which one gets a subsequent thing as its replacement and which stops to exist with the emerging of its replacement, similar to a seed and a fledgling.

A seed and a fledgling structure a continuum, wherein the seed offers ascend to the fledgling as its replacement in this continuum and stops to exist with the emerging of the fledgling.

The hints of the components in the space molecule are the all the while emerging reason of a universe. They all the while emerge – as it were, keep on existing with the emerging of the universe that contains them, much like the constituent components of a material article and the material item itself.

"Keep on existing" doesn't imply that the components are static and never show signs of change. The component particles go through transitory changes, yet without losing their customary characters.

They are the material that establishes a universe

The mutual karma of the creatures that will be conceived in that universe is the aging reason for them to encounter this condition as a major aspect of their totals in a future resurrection in this universe.

Since their mutual karma likewise goes about as the aging reason for their encountering a specific sort of body when taking resurrection in this universe, Kalachakra presents the structures of the universe and the human body as corresponding to one another.

According to another perspective, we could likewise say this common karma is one of the powerful acting causes for their universe, much like a potter is one of the intense acting foundations for a dirt pot the individual in question styles.

Disparity exists in each general public. However, it was distinctive with Brahmanism

The imbalance lectured by Brahmins was its official convention.

It was anything but a simple development. Brahmanism didn't trust in fairness. Actually, it was against balance.

Link here -

Universe Creation Theories In Hinduism
Brahmanism was not content with imbalance. The spirit of Brahmanism lay in evaluated imbalance.

A long way from creating agreement, reviewed imbalance, the Buddha thought, may deliver in the public eye a rising size of scorn and a dropping size of hatred, and may be a wellspring of never-ending strife.

The occupations of the four classes were likewise fixed.

There was no opportunity of decision. Additionally, they were fixed not as per ability, yet as per birth

On a cautious survey of the standards of Chaturvarna, the Buddha had no trouble in reaching the resolution that the rational establishments on which the social request was raised by Brahmanism weren't right if not childish.

It was obvious to him that it didn't serve the interests of all, significantly less did it advance the government assistance of all.

Surely, it was purposely intended to make [the] many serve the interests of the meager few.

In it man was made to serve a class of so called supermen.

It was determined to stifle and endeavor the feeble, and to keep them in a condition of complete oppression.

The law of Karma as figured by the Brahmins, thought the Buddha, was determined to sap the soul of revolt totally.

Nobody was answerable for the enduring of man aside from he himself. Revolt couldn't change the condition of torment ; for enduring was fixed by his past Karma as his parcel in this life.

The Shudras and ladies - the two classes whose humankind was generally mangled by Brahmanism- - had no capacity to oppose the framework.

They were denied the privilege to information, with the outcome that by reason of their upheld obliviousness they couldn't understand what had made their condition so corrupted.

They couldn't realize that Brahmanism had burglarized them totally of a mind-blowing noteworthiness.

Rather than defying Brahmanism, they had become the enthusiasts and upholders of Brahmanism

The option to carry weapons is a definitive methods for accomplishing opportunity which an individual has.

Yet, the Shudras were denied the option to carry weapons.

Under Brahmanism the Shudras were left as defenseless casualties of a trick of narrow minded Brahmanism, incredible and dangerous Kshatriyas, and affluent Vaishyas.

Would it be able to be changed?

Theory Of Universe Creation

The night sky is filled with stars and galaxies. So many stars and so many galaxies, you might think there must be billions and billions of them in the universe.

In fact, there are only around 200 billion galaxies in the observable universe.

So while there are many stars and galaxies in the night sky, there are still many more to discover.

The solar system that we know today is believed to have formed from the collapse of a giant molecular cloud some 4.6 billion years ago.

This cloud was already host to the sun and a number of planets and other bodies, but it was the tremendous gravitational force of the sun that ultimately drew all the remaining material together into a flattened disc that would go on to form the planets and other objects in our system today.

This event is known as the solar nebula, and it is the beginning of our understanding of how our solar system came to be.

The solar system we know today is believed to have formed from the collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud.

This cloud, which was present in the neighborhood of the Sun during the earliest phases of the Solar System’s evolution, may have been as large as the entire orbit of Mercury.

Over time, the forces of gravity broke the cloud down into smaller and smaller pieces.

The Sun was born when a small mass (about the size of Mercury’s orbit today) passed through this region of space and was attracted by the expanding debris.

The billions of stars and galaxies in our universe all formed from a giant cloud of gas and dust.

This cloud, called the observable universe, began its existence more than 13.8 billion years ago with the Big Bang.

The sun is the center of our solar system and gives us light and heat.

It is the largest object in our solar system. Surrounding the sun are the eight planets and their moons.

The planets are large, gas-giant planets that orbit the sun in the same direction as the planets orbit the sun.

The solar system that we know today only began to take shape just over 4 billion years ago, in the aftermath of the Big Bang.

At first, the universe was filled with a hot, dense plasma of electrically charged hydrogen and helium.

It was in this environment that the first atoms were formed, from which the first stars and galaxies were formed.

It was also in this environment that the first planets, moons, asteroids and, eventually, human beings were formed.

The more we look, the more stars and galaxies we find in the universe.

Recently, the largest survey yet of distant galaxies found that the number of galaxies in the universe is rising rather than falling as some had previously thought.

This discovery was made possible by the wealth of new observations made possible by the Hubble Space Telescope and the Large Binocular Telescope.

The Hubble and LBT galaxies were part of the Super Galaxy Nucleus Legacy (SGL) survey, a project led by astronomers at the University of Tokyo that used Hubble and the LBT to find distant galaxies.

Scientists have found more than 700 new stars in a small patch of sky, bringing the total number of stars in that region to more than 1,500.

The bulge is a region in our Galaxy where the stars are densely packed together.

Just like in our own Milky Way, there are likely billions of galaxies in the universe.

Each galaxy is a star system, with stars and planets, gas and dust, and maybe even life.

What’s amazing is that we can see so much of these distant galaxies, and even some of their stars, using telescopes on Earth.

Bigger isn’t always better. In space, this is especially true.

The universe is so huge that even the biggest stars and galaxies can be easily missed, which makes it difficult to spot these astronomical wonders.

Fortunately, astronomers have devised clever ways to find these smaller objects.

When I was a kid, I used to marvel at the sky.

The clouds, the sun, the stars. It was beautiful beyond words, and I used to lie on my back for hours, gazing up at the sky and wondering about the universe.

I would imagine that one day, maybe I would be able to fly up into the sky, or teleport across the world, or maybe learn the secrets of the universe.

We are surrounded by a world of wonders. You can see, hear, and feel the marvels of our universe

But what would it be like if you could see through our universe?

What if you could see the furthest stars and galaxies, or even the tiniest molecules that make up the human body?

The universe is a strange and mysterious place. We can’t see beyond our own solar system, and yet we know that planets and stars occupy the space in between.

We can’t see the furthest stars and galaxies, but we know they’re there. Our universe is full of things we can’t see.

This is a shocking discovery. For the first time, we have the ability to peer inside the universe, and have a glimpse of the wonder and majesty that exists within.

It’s a moment that will change the way we think about our place in the universe, and our place in the cosmos.

It’s a moment that will inspire a new generation of astronomers, mathematicians and scientists to explore the furthest depths of our universe.

Conclusion -

Realizing that it was a supernaturally appointed social request, he realized that it couldn't be. It must be finished.

Thus the Buddha dismissed Brahmanism as being against the genuine lifestyle.

Buddha accept the theory of universe creation of the great philosopher Kapila. His theory was unique at all.

Sentient Beings and the Cycle of Suffering

As a sentient being, I recognize the suffering of another sentient being, and strive to help every sentient being, ultimately liberating all sentient beings.

Nama-Rupa is a collective name for a Sentient being. Two elements is consisting in a sentient being. Sentient being is a compound thing.

Sentient Being  - Nama -Kaya : a sentient being (is a compound thing) consisting of a certain physical element and certain mental elements. They are called"Khandas".

The Rupa khandas primary consists of the physical elements such as earth, water, fire and air.

They constitute the Body or Rupa. This Nama Khandas is called Vinana or consciousnesses.

This Nama Khan days includes the three mental elements
(1) Vedana (sensation springing from contact of the six sense with the world),
(2) Sanna (perception),
(3) Sankhara (state of mind),
(4) Chetana (consciousness) is sometimes spoken of along with the three other mental states as being one of them.

A modern psychologist would say that consciousness is the mainspring from which other psychological phenomenona arise.

Sentient Being Definition

Rupa - Kaya : Vinana is the center of a Sentient being. It is true that consciousness arises with birth and dies with death. Wherever there was Rupa or Kaya, there was consciousness accompanying it.

To give an analogy from science, there is an electric field and wherever there is an electric field,it is always accompanied by a magnetic field. No one knows how the magnetic field is created or how it arises. But it always exists along with the electric field.

Why should not the same realationship be said to exist between body and consciousness?

The magnetic field in relation to electric field is called an induced field.

Why cannot consciousness be called an induced field in relation to Rupa-Kaya ?

On a very basic level, the lives of all conscious creatures are similarly significant.

Similarly as the lives of people are valuable, so are those of all living animals.

Creatures have sentiments, and they also experience dread and torment.

They have families and friends and family and wish especially to live.

At the point when they're going to be executed, they also shout out in fear for help.

We individuals share this planet with other living animals.

How might we typify them as nourishment for our utilization, for us to butcher freely

Sentient Being In Buddhism

The Buddha instructs us to "assuage the enduring of every living being." This incorporates the lives of creatures.

There's  days, creatures raised for meat experience childhood in squeezed spaces.

Be it steers or hens, they live in a kept space that may not be large enough for them to pivot in.

Creatures are aware creatures; living in an uncaring situation for as long as they can remember, they harbor scorn and disdain

We figure out how to be sympathetic towards creatures by wishing that their lives could be saved.

All the more critically, the demonstration of eating meat includes ending a day to day existence, however permits us to get apathetic regarding the enduring of creatures.

At the point when our heart is loaded up with apathy, there's no space for empathy to develop.

At the point when we've supported sympathy for creatures and keep a veggie lover diet, we're ensuring life.

Truth be told, the majority of us eat meat since it's simply the manner in which we've generally eaten – we don't contemplate it and don't associate the meat on our plates to a living animal that was murdered for the wellbeing of we.

Link here -

Sentient Being Origin

In any case, when we start to see the creatures for the living animals that they are, our humankind, our sympathy, and our empathy will be contacted.

All that at that point turns out to be exceptionally straightforward – that is the reason kids can so effectively comprehend and become vegans.

This is on the grounds that their hearts are extremely unadulterated, so they can rapidly get a handle on reality that creatures, similar to us, feel torment and don't wish to be murdered.

The strict inceptions of "consciousness

Numerous individuals expect that the word consciousness has a logical importance, not monitoring its starting point in Eastern religions like
  1. Hinduism,
  2. Jainism
  3. and Buddhism.

Actually, I got presented to the word awareness during my act of Zen Buddhism

We articulated serenades in which we communicated our duty to look for salvation from languishing over every single conscious being, which is one of the principle precepts of Mahayana Buddhism.

The idea of awareness in Buddhism signifies "fit for anguish".

Nonetheless, burrowing somewhat more profound its supernatural roots begin to turn out to be clear.

Buddhism acknowledges that enduring requires awareness, however cognizance is viewed as an otherworldly substance that can be sent starting with one being then onto the next during the time spent rebirth, a conviction it shares practically speaking with Hinduism and Jainism.

Thus, if human cognizance can move from human to creature, this implies creatures can endure simply like people and merit a similar good thought.

Sentient Being Philosophy

This thought appears to have immigrated to Western way of thinking to be renewed as basic entitlements.

Notwithstanding, it must be reworked as dependent on transformative standards in light of the fact that most Westerners would dismiss the possibility of resurrection.

The naturalistic view proposed by science is that the human psyche isn't an autonomous element yet the result of the mind and thusly can't exist freely from it.

By a similar token, cerebrums contrasting immeasurably in the quantity of neurons and neurotransmitters would create totally various personalities, and just the most intricate of them are probably going to be cognizant.

In the common Western majority rule governments, laws about creature government assistance can't be situated in Eastern strict convictions, much the same as laws against premature birth or homosexuality ought not be defined dependent on Christian doctrine.

Conclusion -

In the event that creature government assistance guidelines are to be founded on the possibility of awareness, it needs to remain on a firm logical and discerning establishment.

We ought to be mindful so as not to leave strict thoughts regarding awareness and consciousness alone snuck into science and governmental issues. Sentient being is a compound thing.

Understanding The Principles of "Self-Mortification"

Self mortification involves self mortification of desires, through self mortification of habits, leading to self mortification of ego.

Many types of religion and their Ascetic following the rule and principles of purification in self mortification in sangh.

Self Mortification - There was, and still is, a confidence in India among a significant number of her monks that purging and last liberation can be accomplished by thorough SELF -                   MORTIFICATION, and the austere Gotama chose to test its reality.

Thus there at Uruvelâ he started a decided battle to curb his body with the expectation that his brain, liberated from the shackles of the body, may have the option to take off to the statures of freedom.

Self Mortification In Buddhisim

Most passionate was he in these practices.

He lived on leaves and roots, on a consistently diminished wage of food; he wore clothes from dust loads; he dozed among carcasses or on beds of thistles.

The absolute lack of sustenance left him an actual wreck. Says the Master: "Thorough have I been in my parsimonious order.

Thorough have I been past all others.

Like squandered, wilted reeds turned into all my limbs...." In such words as these, in later years, having achieved full illumination, did the Buddha give his teaches a stunning depiction of his initial penances.

Battling along these lines for six long years, he went to death's very entryway, however he got himself no closer to his objective.

The absolute purposelessness of self-humiliation turned out to be plentifully obvious to him by his own insight.

He understood that the way to the fulfillment of his enthusiastic aching lay toward a hunt internal into his own psyche.

Undiscouraged, his still dynamic psyche looked for new ways the yearned for objective.

He felt, notwithstanding, that with a body so totally debilitated as his, he was unable to follow that way with any possibility of progress.

Self Mortification Meaning

Consequently he deserted self-torment and outrageous fasting and took typical food.

His skinny body recuperated its previous wellbeing and his depleted force before long returned.

Presently his five friends left him in their failure, for they believed that he had surrendered the exertion and had continued an existence of plenitude.

In any case, with firm assurance and complete confidence in his own immaculateness and strength, independent by any instructor, joined by none, the Bodhisatta made plans to put forth his last attempt in complete isolation.

On the forenoon of the day preceding his illumination while the Bodhisatta was situated in reflection under a banyan tree, Sujâtâ, the girl of a rich householder, not knowing whether the austere was perfect or human, offered milk-rice to him saying: "Ruler, may your goals be delegated with progress!"

This was his last feast before his edification.

Harmful Psychology effects of bad deeds

Bad deeds can have severe consequences, leading to harm and suffering. Engaging in bad deeds can damage relationships and reputations. Bad deeds can also perpetuate a cycle of negativity and hurt. Ultimately, bad deeds can have long-lasting impacts on individuals and communities.

Bloggers need to find guest blogging opportunities on bad deeds. Improving "Trends" about bad deeds in socials activities.

Bad Deeds  - If a man speaks or acts evil of mind, suffering follows him close as the wheel the hoof of the beast that draws the cart.

Treat not lightly of evil ,saying it will not come to me.

Drop by drop is water-pot filled.By little added to little evil accumulated.

If is not well do a deed which done brings regrets, the fruit whereof is received with tears and lamentation.

Follow not after things evil. Dwell not in negligence. Cherish not a false ideas.

Hasten towards the excellent, suppress all evil thoughts, who so is backward in doing good, his mind delights in evil.

Bad deeds and deeds hurtful to ourselves, are easy to do,difficult to do what is beneficial and good.

Let no man think lightly of evil saying in his heart ,It will not come right into me.

Even by the filling of water drops a water pot is filled, the foot becomes full of evil, even if he gathers it little by little.

A man should hasten towards to good and should keep his thought away from evil, if a man does what is good slothfully ,his mind delights in evil.

If a man commits a sin,Let him not do it again

Let him not delight in sin,the accumulation of evil is painful. Do not follow that of Sin.

To him who is wholly free from lust there is neither sorrow nor fear.

Bad Deeds Means

What causes BAD DEED or negatives behavior patterns?

The greater part of your unfortunate propensities are brought about by two things…

Stress and Weariness.

More often than not, negative behavior patterns are just a method of managing pressure and weariness.

Everything from gnawing your nails to overspending on a shopping binge to drinking each end of the week to squandering energy on the web can be a basic reaction to stress and fatigue.

However, it doesn't need to be that way.

You can show yourself new and sound approaches to manage pressure and fatigue, which you would then be able to substitute instead of your unfortunate propensities.

Obviously, in some cases the pressure or fatigue that is on a superficial level is really brought about by more profound issues.

These issues can be difficult to consider, yet on the off chance that you're not kidding about making changes, at that point you must be straightforward with yourself.

Are there sure convictions or reasons that are behind the negative behavior patterns?

Is there something more profound — a dread, an occasion, or a restricting conviction — that is making you clutch something that is terrible for you?

Perceiving the reasons for your unfortunate propensities is essential to conquering them.

You don't dispose of an unfortunate propensity, you supplant it.

The entirety of the propensities that you have at this moment — positive or negative — are a major part of your life on purpose.

Somehow or another, these practices give an advantage to you, regardless of whether they are awful for you otherly .

Once in a while the advantage is organic like it is with smoking or medications.

Here and there it's passionate like it is the point at which you remain in a relationship that is terrible for you. Furthermore, much of the time, your negative behavior pattern is a basic method to adapt to pressure.

For instance, gnawing your nails, pulling your hair, tapping your foot, or holding your jaw.

Bad Deeds Examples

These "advantages" or reasons reach out to more modest negative behavior patterns too.

For instance, opening your email inbox when you turn on your PC may cause you to feel associated. Simultaneously taking a gander at all of those messages demolishes your efficiency, partitions your consideration, and overpowers you with stress.

Yet, it keeps you from feeling like no doubt about it … thus you do it once more.

Since unfortunate propensities give some sort of advantage in your life, it's hard to just kill them. (This is the reason shortsighted guidance like "simply quit doing it" infrequently works.)

All things being equal, you need to supplant a negative behavior pattern with another propensity that gives a comparative advantage.

For instance, on the off chance that you smoke when you get focused on, at that point it's a terrible arrangement to "simply quit smoking" when that occurs.

All things considered, you should concoct an alternate method to manage pressure and supplement that new conduct as opposed to having a cigarette.

Conclusion -

All in all, unfortunate propensities address certain necessities in your day to day existence.

What's more, therefore, it's smarter to supplant your unfortunate propensities with a more beneficial conduct that tends to that equivalent need.

On the off chance that you anticipate that yourself should essentially remove negative behavior or bad deeds. patterns without supplanting them, at that point you'll have certain requirements that will be neglected and it will be difficult to adhere to a daily practice of "simply don't do it" for extremely long.
